Our Team

Under the creative direction of Azise Vanessa Ekwelle, our team is comprised of experienced event planners, designers, and artists. We work with many of the most reputable and creative industry professionals, including the area’s top balloon designers, floral designers, lighting experts, entertainers, furniture and prop rentals, linen rentals, caterers and bakers, photographers, videographers and more, all adding their expertise and industry knowledge to your event. Your planner will handle all your event details, overseeing the design, coordination, production, fabrication, and set up of all your event décor. Nessa Parties makes the planning of your event as enjoyable as the celebration.

VANESSA EKWELLE

Lead creative director

NESSA has shown her flair for design since starting private art lessons at age 23 and consistently making decorations for school functions, parties, and dances. After graduating from the University of Yaoundé 1 with a Bachelor of General & Applied Linguistics and the Ecole Normal Supérieur Yaoundé, she began a career in sales of party accessories, graphic design, and environmental graphic design.

Despite entering the events industry “by accident” as a young mom, Nessa launched Nessa Parties in 2019 and built it into a full-service event design and management firm wowing clients throughout Cameroon. She was also named “Celebrity kids event planner” in Yaoundé and has completed a Master’s in event planning & design with the IPC Events Academy of Lagos Nigeria.

While overseeing a team of talented individuals with no limitations on creativity and fun, Nessa works closely with each client to create a unique event experience that surpasses their expectations. She tailors the event experiences and décor to her clients’ goals, themes, personalities, budgets, and vision so they can feel reassured and confident throughout the design and planning process.

In addition to her leadership at NP, Nessa is also the Lead Director of The Party Place –an event Center & kids playground based in Mendong Yaoundé.

When Nessa is not designing and producing events, she enjoys traveling with her husband & kids, dancing, teaching, browsing or crafting.

Makoge Richard

Lead Event Producer

Makoge joined our planning team in the fall of 2020. His extensive background in event logistics, production, styling along with fashion merchandising adds a unique perspective and additional hands-on experience to our planning and design department.

NONGA COMELYNE

Event Producer

Nonga Comelyne joined our team in 2023 with over 3 years of experience in the event industry. Nonga brings a wealth of knowledge and creativity to the table. She specializes in the design and planning of social events. Nonga has planned numerous events in her career, is very attentive to our clients needs, and will come up with new and innovative ideas for your party.

Event Communications Specialist

JOY joined our team in 2020 with a focus on internal marketing and PR for Nessa Parties. Joy is known for her creative writing, content creation, exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and navigating challenges with creativity and resourcefulness. She is thrilled to be a part of a company that creates unforgettable experiences for its clients and guests. Joy can’t wait to share your event story with the world.

Che Dominion

Operations Manager

Che Dominion wears many hats, from managing the warehouse, maintaining our IT, accounting, the website, coordinating event crews, assisting in the art department, to loading and transporting our vehicles with your event décor. He is responsible for keeping Nessa Parties running smoothly.
